Therapy That Actually Works With Your Brain

I’m not going to pretend ADHD is some quirky little personality trait, because it isn’t, and if you’ve spent your whole life being told to just try harder or focus more, you already know that advice has never once worked, not for you, not for anyone whose brain is actually wired this way. I offer ADHD counselling online across the UK, and if you’re local, in person in Swansea too. You get a space built around how your brain actually operates instead of one that expects you to bend yourself into someone else’s shape.

Why Online ADHD Counselling Works So Well

Online counselling isn’t a lesser version of “real” therapy, and I’ll say that plainly because a lot of people still assume it is. For a lot of ADHD brains, it’s genuinely the better option — you can join from your own sofa instead of forcing yourself through the sensory chaos of a waiting room; you can fidget, move, pace, doodle, do whatever your body needs to actually listen while we talk, and you don’t have to burn half your spoons just getting somewhere on time. Sessions run by video or phone, 50 minutes, same fee as face-to-face, and if a camera feels like one demand too many some days, phone works completely fine too.

What We Might Actually Work On

Every ADHD brain is different, and I mean that completely, so this isn’t a script; it’s just where sessions often go:

  • Executive functioning struggles — the stuff that looks like laziness and absolutely is not
  • Burnout, and the exhaustion of masking that no one else can see
  • Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria, and the way one offhand comment can wreck your whole day
  • Late diagnosis, or wondering if you’re even neurodivergent at all
  • Shame, self-esteem, and years of internalised “what’s wrong with me”
  • Relationships, communication, and the misunderstandings that pile up around them
  • Work, university or school stress that’s been dismissed as you “not trying hard enough”

This Isn't About Fixing You

You were never broken, and I’m not here to make you “normal,” because normal was never the goal. This is about understanding your own brain properly, dropping the shame that’s been stacking up for years, and building a life that actually works for how you’re wired — not the one everyone else assumed you should have.

If you’re looking for ADHD counselling online, or ADHD counselling in Swansea, I’d genuinely love to hear from you. A free 20-minute consultation is available first, absolutely no pressure, no commitment, none.

My Approach

I'm an integrative counsellor, which just means I don't force you into one single method because that would be exactly the kind of one-size-fits-all nonsense that's failed you before. My work is rooted in person-centred therapy — you are the expert on your own experience, full stop — and I bring in CBT, psychoeducation, and creative approaches wherever they actually fit how you think, not how a textbook says you should think.

Sessions can include movement breaks, fidget tools, structured techniques, whatever keeps you actually present instead of forcing stillness for the sake of it.
