Why Choose Me?

Choosing a therapist is deeply personal.

Alongside my professional training as an integrative counsellor, I bring lived experience as a queer, neurodivergent person too, and I know how powerful it can be to sit across from someone who actually gets that identity isn't separate from mental health — it shapes how we experience everything.

My aim isn't to tell you who you should be. It's to help you reconnect with who you've always been underneath all the expectations, fear and self-doubt.

You are the expert on your own life, and I'll walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and compassion through whatever brought you here.

LGBTQIA+ Affirming Counselling in Swansea and Across the UK

I offer integrative counselling for LGBTQIA+ adults in Swansea and across the UK via secure online sessions, and my practice runs on one belief — you should never have to justify your identity, educate your therapist, or shrink yourself down just to feel accepted here.

As a queer counsellor myself, I know living outside society’s expectations brings its own challenges. Whether you’re exploring your identity, navigating relationships, recovering from discrimination or trauma, or just looking for a therapist who actually “gets it,” I aim to provide a warm, collaborative, genuinely affirming space.

What Does LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy Mean?

It goes beyond just accepting diverse identities — it celebrates them, full stop. Instead of treating sexual orientation or gender identity as something to explain or overcome, affirming therapy recognises that most of the difficulty comes from living in a world that isn’t always safe or accepting.

We’ll explore your experience with curiosity, compassion and respect, shaped around you, not around assumptions of what it means to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, non-binary, asexual, intersex, or any other identity in the community.

Your identity is part of your whole self here — never a problem to be solved.

How I Work

I’m an integrative counsellor, which means I draw from a range of approaches to build something that actually fits you. At the centre of it is person-centred therapy — empathy, acceptance, authenticity — and alongside that I might bring in creative therapy, CBT, psychoeducation, existential therapy, attachment-informed work, and trauma-informed practice.

Every client is different, so the work gets shaped around your experiences, your goals, and how you naturally process things.

A SPACE WHERE YOU DON'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF

So many LGBTQIA+ people have sat in front of healthcare professionals who misunderstood them, dismissed them, invalidated them without even meaning to.

Therapy should feel completely different.

My aim is a space where your pronouns are respected, your relationships are recognised, your identity is never questioned, and your experiences are met with real curiosity — not assumptions.

Cisgender, transgender, non-binary, genderfluid, intersex, asexual, bisexual, lesbian, gay, queer, pansexual, questioning, or anywhere else on the spectrum — you're welcomed exactly as you are.
