A bit more about me...

Although my name may suggest otherwise, I was born and raised in the UK. Creativity has always been woven into the fabric of my life. Coming from a long line of female artists, I grew up surrounded by making, expression, and imagination. Alongside my work as a counsellor, I am also an artist, jeweller, painter, and photographer. I have trained as both a fabricator and boatbuilder, and I continue to find deep meaning in working with my hands and creating tangible things.

For as long as I can remember, I dreamed of becoming a therapist — particularly an art therapist. I have always been fascinated by the human mind, psychology, criminology, and the complexity of human behaviour, all of which continue to influence and enrich my therapeutic work today.

Much of my adult life has been spent living by the sea, which remains a huge source of calm and grounding for me. I love surfing, swimming, scuba diving, and spending time in the ocean. Movement and exercise are an important part of my wellbeing and daily life. Before training as a counsellor, I lived and worked around the world in marine conservation as a divemaster, with Madagascar and the Philippines holding a particularly special place in my heart.

I am proudly queer, neurodiverse and belong to several minority groups that may not be immediately visible. Because of this, I understand what it can feel like to exist on the outside of things, to navigate difference, identity, and belonging. I aim to offer a therapeutic space that is warm, accepting, collaborative, and deeply human.

People often describe me as empathic, gentle, grounded, and easy to talk to. While I can sometimes be quietly reflective, I bring genuine care, curiosity, and compassion into my work with clients.

I gained my Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling from the prestigious Iron Mill College, where I developed a deep appreciation for integrative practice and the importance of tailoring therapy to each person. My approach is rooted in relational, person-centred values while drawing from a range of therapeutic theories and creative approaches depending on the needs of the client.

My areas of interest and specialism include:

  • Anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties
  • LGBTQIA+ affirmative counselling
  • Neurobiology
  • Self-harm
  • Neurodivergence
  • Domestic abuse and domestic violence
  • Trauma
  • Creative therapeutic work, including: dreams, Gestalt techniques, metaphor, and artwork exploration
